Who we are
Azens is an Occupational Operating System, built and operated by a solo founder. This policy explains what we collect through the app, why, and what control you have over it. Questions or requests go to founder@azencare.com.
What we collect
Only what the product needs to run, and only what you give it or connect to it:
- Account. Your email address and credentials, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) — we never see or store your raw password.
- Your declared profile. The domains (roles), weights, and goals you create, and the tasks you add to them.
- Task history. Completions, snoozes, and micro-actions — the record the app uses to compute Attention Debt and rank nudges.
- Calendar data, if you connect one. If you connect Google Calendar, we read event titles, times, and locations through Google's
calendar.readonlyscope. We never create, edit, or delete anything on your calendar — the connection is read-only, always. Your free/busy gaps are computed live from these events and are never stored separately. - Push notifications, if you enable them. Your device's push subscription endpoint and keys, so we can deliver nudges.
- Shared domains, if you use them. If you invite someone to a domain, or accept an invitation, we store the relevant email addresses and role (viewer/collaborator) to manage that membership.
How we use it
- To score and rank your tasks against six deterministic factors — role importance, urgency, Attention Debt, goal alignment, context fit, and your own patterns — and to explain, in plain language, why a nudge surfaced. See Features for how this works.
- To compute your free time from your calendar, on the fly, and to deliver push notifications.
- Not yet built: an AI-assisted layer that synthesizes this same data into short natural-language briefs. When it ships, it will use only the data already described above, run server-side, and remain strictly advisory — it will never be able to change a declared value or weight on its own.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties beyond what running the product requires:
- Google — only if you connect a calendar, and only to read it.
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and backend infrastructure provider.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
We don't currently use any third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Google Calendar refresh tokens are stored encrypted (via Supabase Vault) and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting your calendar in Settings.
Your rights
“An individual's occupational profile belongs to them. Azens acts as a trusted steward — not the owner — of their declared and observed data. Individuals have the right to access, export, correct, and permanently delete their information at any time. Their data is never used to train AI models, personalize experiences for other users, or shared with third parties without their explicit, informed consent. We believe that occupational data is an extension of the individual — it is never treated as a commodity, and its use is always governed by the individual's informed choices.”
Self-serve access, export, correction, and deletion tools aren't live in the product yet. Until they are, email founder@azencare.com and we'll fulfill the request by hand.
Children
Azens isn't directed at, or knowingly used to collect data from, children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page and its date when this policy changes, and do our best to flag material changes to active users directly.
